abstract The process is an improvement on that of NE.65,17191, for the preparation of a fibre-forming synthetic linear polyamide in which the repeating amide groups are separated by not less than 2 carbon atoms, and in which there is incorporated in the polyamide 0.1-20.0 weight %, on the polyamide, of a polyalkoxylated glyceride According to the improvement, a polyalkoxylated tri-glyceride of a saturated C10-30 fatty acid, where the polyalkoxy portion has a molecular weight of about 2000-22,000, is used. The triglyceride derivative confers permanent antistatic properties on the polyamide.
