C atom), which have tranquillizing, antianaphylactic, anti-oedema and esp. analgesic activity with relatively low toxicity, are prepd. by reacting a corr. 2-benzoyl-3-(2-Z-ethoxy)-indole (where Z is halogen or lower alkane- or arenesulphonyloxy) with HNR3R4.
