titleOfInvention | Process for the production of azo dyes |
abstract | Azo dyes (I) A = an aromatic-carbocyclic or -heterocyclic group; R = an alkylene group; R1 and R2 = H, opt. substd. alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl; Y = t-amino, or a quat. ammonium group; and Z = an acyl group. - (I) are prepd. by coupling the diazonium cpd. of an aromatic amine with a coupling component (II), the two components being free of sulphonic acid and carboxylic acid groups. - (I) are esp. useful for dyeing/printing fibres and textiles composed of acrylonitrile polymers, or acid-modified polyesters. The dyed fibres have excellent fastness. |
