3-Bromobenzotrifluoride is reacted with acetanilide or a phenylurethane with heating in pres. of an Ullman catalyst at 170-190 degrees C, and intermediate hydrolysed in pres. of HCl to yield 3-trifluoromethyldiphenylamine which is starting material in synthesis of Stelazine, used to treated mental diseases. |
