abstract (I):- (where R is (m)ethyl), and their salts, prepd. by reacting cpds. (II), or their salts, with reactive esters of alcohols ROH, and partic. cpd. (I) when R is ethyl, are useful in human and veterinary medicine as psychotropic tranquillising medicinals on account of their C.N.S.-inhibiting and hitaminolytic activity. Pref. (II) is used as crude reaction mixture formed under reaction conditions, more pref. by reacting (III) with R - OH.
