abstract | 4, 4.disubstituted 3-R1 2-oxoacetidine(3.2-d) thiazolidine compounds of general formula (I) R1 = H or preferably an acyl group; X = the disubstituted C-atom of the thiazolidine ring, especially a group of formula (2) (2) R2 and R3=hydrocarbon residues especially aliphatic hydrocarbons such as alkyl- groups, preferably methyl; aromatic groups especially phenyl groups, araliphatic hydrocarbons, especially phenylalkyl groups; and functionally modified especially esterified carboxy groups. R2 + R3 may form a bivalent, preferably aliphatic hydrocarbon such as an alkylene group; a phthaloyl-, oxo- or thiono group. The hydrocarbon groups may be substituted with alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, halogenalkyl or other suitable groups. |
