titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of aracytidine phosphates |
abstract | Therapeutic preparations contain either oligonucleotides (I) or cyclic oligonucleotides (II): where A = 1-beta-arabinofuranosylcytosine; P = a phosphate group connecting the arabinofuranosylcytosine units at the 3' 5' position; n = 1-8; m = 1-4. The preparations pref. contain compds. (I) and (II) in the form of their triethylamine salts. Product (I) and (II) are prepared by polymerising the 2'-, 3'-, or 5'-phosphate of N4-benzoyl-aracytidine with a carbodiimide. Products (I) and (II) have antiviral activity, and are useful for the prodn. of bacterial cultures free of viral phages. |
