abstract An epoxy resin composition contains (I) a diepoxy compound which has two 1,2-epoxyethyl residues, (II) a bisecondary di amine R'HN-A-NHR2 in an amount of 0.3-0.9, pref. 0.5-0.8, equivalents of active, nitrogen-bonded hydrogen atoms per equivalent of epoxy groups in (I), and (III) a polyamine containing not 3 active hydrogen atoms bonded to nitrogen, in an amount of 0.2-0.8, pref. 0.4-0.6, equivalents of active, nitrogen-bonded hydrogen per epoxy equivalent of (I). In (II), R1 and R2 are (alkyl-substituted) saturated carbocyclic rings or ring systems with not 5 carbon atoms, and A is an (alkyl-substituted) polymethylene residue, possibly interrupted by ether oxygen atoms, which has not 4 and pref. is not 6 carbon atoms in the linear chain which connects the two secondary nitrogen atoms.
