titleOfInvention | Process for dyeing synthetic textiles |
abstract | Monoazo dyestuffs have formula (I) where A is radical of a benzene diazo component; X is -OCO-, -SO2-, or -COO-; Y is lower alkyl, phenyl or cyclohexyl; Z is H, lower alkyl or alkoxy; R is lower alkyl; W1 and W2 are lower alkylene; n is 1-10. The dyes are free of -COOH or -SO3H gps. and are thus water-insoluble. They are used for colouring synthetics, e.g. cellulose acetate, polyamides and, esp., arom. polyesters such as poly(ethylene terephthalate). |
