abstract |
The invention provides for a machine for manufacturing artificial turf. The machine comprises a fiber inserter (106) configured for incorporating artificial turf fiber (104) into an artificial turf backing (102) to form the artificial turf. The artificial turf comprises an underside (114) and an artificial turf surface (116). The machine further comprises a coater (110) configured for coating the underside with a colloidal latex coating (112). The colloidal latex coating has an exposed surface (124). The machine further comprises an applicator (120) configured for wetting an exposed surface of the colloidal latex coating with an anti-blistering agent. The machine further comprises a heater (126) configured for heating the underside to cure the colloidal latex coating into a solid latex coating. |
