abstract Provided are: a porous composite body which contains OCP and collagen, and which has more excellent compressive strength than conventional porous composite bodies; a bone regeneration material which contains this porous composite body; and a method for producing a porous composite body. A porous composite body which is characterized by: containing octacalcium phosphate and collagen; having a pore diameter of 5-40 µm as determined by measurement using a mercury porosimeter; and containing pores having pore diameters of 71-200 µm at a ratio of 8% or less relative to all the pores having pore diameters of 200 µm or less.
