abstract Described herein are compositions and techniques for treatment of disease and conditions such as pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Unlike palliative or preventive measures that do not address the abnormal vasculature causing onset of right ventricular compensation the use of stem cell-based therapy can directly impact the microvascular pathology in PAH, thereby reversing the course of the disease.
