| abstract |
The present invention is a fenestration drape and a method for providing skin-to-skin contact of a newborn with the mother immediately after birth during a Cesarean delivery. The novel fenestration drape comprises a portal which may be opened and reclosed without compromise to the sterile barrier. The novel method facilitates the critical contact without interruption and with continuity of sterile field throughout the procedure. |
