titleOfInvention High temperature geomembrane liners and master batch compositions
abstract ABSTRACT Compositions and master batches for making geomembrane liners and liners suitable for use at temperatures up to 100 C made of such compositions, including 8-10 wt% master batch and 90-92 wt% PERT base resin. The master batch is (a) 70-80 wt% of LLDPE, MDPE, HDPE, or PERT resin having a density from 0.910-0.955 g/cm3, (b) 1-3 wt% of a primary antioxidant comprising 1,3,5-trimethy1-2,4,6,tris-(3,5-di-t-buty1-4-hydroxybenzyl) benzene, (c) 0.1-0.5 wt% of a secondary antioxidant comprising pentaerythritol tetrakis(3-(3,5-ti-tert-buty1-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate), (d) optionally 0.1-05 wt% of tris (2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite (e) 1-3 wt% of a UV stabilizer comprising a high molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer; (f) 0.1-0.5 wt% acid neutralizer; and (g) 20-30 wt% of a furnace carbon black, wherein the percentage by weight is based on the total weight of the geomembrane composition.
