abstract Implantable medical devices may directionally elute a first therapeutic agent that promotes the growth of endothelial cells and a second therapeutic agent that inhibits the growth of smooth muscle cells. In some embodiments, implantable medical devices may elute a first therapeutic agent such as an anti-proliferative drug from an abluminal side of the implantable medical device and a second therapeutic agent such as an endothelialization agent from a luminal side of the implantable medical device.
