abstract An illuminated snow globe is disclosed. The snow globe comprises a base and a container mounted to the base secured with a fluid-tight seal. The container holds fluid, in which at least one string of lights is suspended. A power source is located in the base, which is operationally coupled to the light string. The base also contains a power switch that includes a first position and a second position. Activation of the first position permits electrical energy to flow through the power source to the light string. Activation of the second position inhibits electrical energy from flowing through the power source to the light string.
