Method for producing sugar liquid |
abstract |
A method for producing a sugar solution, which comprises steps (1) to (3) mentioned below. The method enables the utilization of a hydrothermal treatment solution of a cellulose-containing biomass, which has been treated as a liquid waste, for the production of a sugar solution. Step (1): subjecting a cellulose-containing biomass to a hydrothermal treatment and then separating the resultant solution into a hydrothermal treatment solution and a cellulose-containing solid material. Step (2): adding a filamentous fungus-originated cellulase to the cellulose-containing solid material produced in step (1) to cause cellulose to be hydrolyzed, and then separating the resultant solution into a glycosylation residue and the sugar solution. Step (3): washing the glycosylation residue produced in step (2) with the hydrothermal treatment solution obtained in step (1) to cause the filamentous fungus-originated cellulase, onto which the glycosylation residue has been adsorbed, to be eluted in the hydrothermal treatment solution, and then subjecting the resultant solution to solid/liquid separation to produce a solution component containing the filamentous fungus-originated cellulase. |
