abstract The present invention relates to a method for testing the effectiveness step(s) of purification on the presence or nature of pro-inflammatory molecules in glucose polymers or their hydrolysates using an in vitro test of answer inflammation using cell lines, the cell line being either a macrophage or a cell line differentiated into a macrophage, i.e. a cell expressing a or several TLR (Toll Like Receptor) or NOD (Nucleotide-binding) receptors Oligomerization Domain-containing proteins) and allowing the detection of answers from or receivers, or a combination thereof. It also concerns a method of optimized purification of glucose polymers or their hydrolysates comprising a analysis of pro-inflammatory molecules in glucose polymers or their hydrolysates using said in vitro inflammatory response test. She also concerns the selection of purification steps optimized with regard to the presence and nature of pro-inflammatory molecules.
