The present application relates to a method for preparing glucan from Aspergillus niger characterized in that it comprises (i) at least partial deacetylation of aspergillus niger mycelium; (ii) acid treatment of the deacetylated or partially deacetylated mycelium, preferably after purification and / or washing, to obtain insoluble glucan and soluble chitosan, said acidic treatment comprising contacting the deacetylated mycelium with an acidic solution; (iii) the separation of soluble chitosan on the one hand and glucan on the other hand; (iv) an alkaline treatment of glucan comprising contacting the glucan with an alkaline solution to flocculate the glucans; and (v) drying the flocculated glucans to obtain a glucan powder. The present invention also relates to glucans thus obtained, compositions comprising them, and their uses. The glucans of the invention can be used as immunostimulatory agents. |
