abstract | Provided is a liquid resol-type phenolic resin produced by reacting (A) a phenol compound with (B) a secondary and/or tertiary alkylamine compound in the presence of a basic catalyst. The nitrogen content relative to the total amount of the liquid resol-type phenolic resin is preferably 3-30 wt%. The secondary and/or tertiary alkylamine compound (B) is preferably hexamethylenetetramine. In addition, the ratio of the secondary and/or tertiary alkylamine compound (B) to the phenol compound (A) (i.e., (B)/(A)) is preferably 0.13-0.35 by mole. |
