titleOfInvention | Method for manufacturing a regenerated tooth unit |
abstract | In the disclosed methods for manufacturing a regenerated tooth unit, regenerated tooth buds can be cultivated in vivo without pressure or space restricting the shape of the teeth, and the extension of the teeth can be controlled. Said methods allow the transplant of regenerated teeth even in cases in which the missing tooth region is large. One disclosed method includes a step in which a regenerated tooth bud is disposed and cultivated inside a spacer in vivo in a mammal. Said spacer is configured so as to be able to: prevent excessive pressure from being applied to the regenerated tooth bud from tissues inside the body of the mammal; and prevent the regenerated tooth bud from extending more than a maximum tolerance. Furthermore, said spacer is configured such that the regenerated tooth bud disposed inside can connect with the area outside the spacer. Another disclosed method includes a step in which a plurality of regenerated tooth buds are disposed and cultivated inside a spacer in vivo in a mammal. |
