Disclosed are compounds having a reduced incidence of problems associated with N-acetylcysteine. The invention relates to a compound of formula II (see formula II) where D is (see formula III or IV) R3 is selected from the group consisting of H and linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl; R4 is a linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl; R6 is selected from the group consisting of H and (see formula V) and R5 is a linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, useful in the treatment of diseases and/or conditions of the Central Nervous System. |
