abstract |
An optical article comprising a substrate coated with a coating having on its surface silanol groups and, in direct contact with the coating, a precursor coating of an anti-fog coating, said precursor coating having a static contact angle with the water greater than 10 ° and less than 50 °, a thickness less than or equal to 5 nm, and being obtained by grafting at least one organosilane compound having a polyoxyalkylene group comprising less than 80 carbon atoms and at least one carrier silicon atom at least one hydrolysable group. The anti-fog coating precursor is converted into an anti-fog coating itself by applying a film of a liquid solution containing at least one surfactant to its surface. The anti-fog coating is immediately operational and has lasting effects. |
