An elastomeric body (1 ) suitable for anti-vibration and suspension is disclosed. The elastic body (1 ) comprises at least one layer of an elastic and flexible fire retardant coating (4, 5, 6) covering at least a portion of the body (1 ). The at least one layer of fire retardant coating (4, 5, 6) is non-halogenated and comprises a fire retardant substance and an elastic binder material. The fire retardant substance comprises expandable graphite. The at least one layer of coating (4, 5, 6) has an elasticity greater than 20%. |
