titleOfInvention | Method for the transesterification of hydroxylated oils |
abstract | The subject of the present invention is a process for the transesterification of a hydroxylated oil comprising two steps transesterification carried out in the presence of a light alcohol (methanol or ethanol) and a basic catalyst in conditions of temperature, pressure and mass ratio alcohol / oil allowing a quasi-total conversion of the oil hydroxylated to fatty acid esters. Characteristically, to the mixture reaction resulting directly from the first stage of transesterification, an aqueous solution is added to obtain a mixture reaction including in particular acid esters hydroxylated fats and glycerol. This reaction mixture is subjected to a step separation to obtain a phase less dense composed predominantly of fatty esters and a denser phase composed mostly glycerol, and water and soaps of fatty acids. The second step of transesterification is carried out on the less dense phase added with said light alcohol and of said basic catalyst. |
