abstract The object is to remove any substance which inhibits the amplification of a nucleic acid from a biological sample and a nucleic acid extraction solution, and to evaluate the presence or absence of a target nucleic acid or the expression level of a target gene in a biological sample accurately and in a simple manner by employing a nucleic acid amplification means using an enzyme. Thus, disclosed is a method for preparing a nucleic acid amplification sample for use in the amplification of a nucleic acid contained in a biological sample, which comprises the following steps: an extraction step of adding a nucleic acid extraction reagent to the biological sample to produce a nucleic acid extraction solution; and a purification step of contacting the nucleic acid extraction solution with zeolite to produce a nucleic acid amplification sample suitable for the nucleic acid amplification which enables the highly sensitive detection of a nucleic acid.
