abstract The present invention provides a sealer light delivery device (100) comprising a light delivery tip (102) and a light delivery assembly (104) comprising a housing member (106), a light source (126) and an electronic assembly (112) comprising magnetic means (122), a rectifier (124) and current contml means (130), wherein the light delivery tip (102) is in secured but remov-able communication with the light delivery assembly (104); the light source (126) is in electrical communication with the electronic assembly (104); the device (100) is adapted for insertion into a receiver (14) of a sealer (10) and when the device (100) is in com-munication with the receiver (14), the electronic assembly (104) converts magnetic field energy provided by the receiver (14) into electric energy to power the light source (124) thereby allowing the device to deliver light out of the light delivery tip (102) in a desired illuniination pattem and at least one predetemuned wavelength. The present invention also includes a method of maldng the device and using it.
