Use of light for guiding aquatic animals |
abstract |
The present invention relates to device and method for guiding or herding aquatic animals, where a light source is used to herd and direct the animals into an enclosure. Light source (9), operational with physical barrier or enclosure (2) is used to project light (3) in waters forming visible shapes in the scattering of the light through the waters. The light source can be remotely controlled based on the movement or the location of the animal (4). The animals react to the scattered light as a physical barrier or an animal and can be directed or lured into the enclosure (2). |
