titleOfInvention Method for determining the sensitive or insensitive nature of a hexogen
abstract The present invention relates to a method for determining the sensitive or insensitive character of a hexogenecrystallized. The method comprises: formulating said hexogenecrystalline in a matrix; analyzing a sample of said matrix loaded with said crystallized hexogen by differential scanning calorimetry; said matrix consisting essentially of at least one liquid polymer suitable for the formulation of energetic materials laden with nitrated organic explosives; and at least one volatile organic compound adsorbent, stable at the test run temperature and having a low affinity for water. The present invention also relates to crystallized hexogen in such a matrix.
