abstract |
The present invention provides a deodorant formulation in the field of personal care products, which is free of the commonly used but potentially harmful ingredients propylene glycol and triclosan. The present invention also constitutes a more stable formulation when formed into solid sticks as compared to such formulations of the prior art. The invented formulation comprises propanediol, ethylhexylglycerin, and grapefruit seed extract as the principal deodorizing actives, and displays improved efficacy and stability over formulations of the prior art. The deodorant formulation of the invention may further be formed into a stable solid stick product in accordance with the methods outlined herein. |
