abstract |
The present invention is based on the identification of the role of the mX receptor of certain insects, in the gustatory behavior of said insects. The invention therefore relates to the use of mX receptor modulators, such as L-canavanine and / or a mixture of arginine and calcium, and / or N-methyl-L-arginine (NMA), for the preparation a repellent or attractive composition with regard to certain insects. The invention also relates to the use of an insect mX receptor as a target for identifying repellent substances with respect to at least some insects. |
