abstract | The invention provides a propellant-containing aerosol suspension comprising: (a) particles of tiotropium bromide monohydrate with chemically bound water, wherein the tiotropium bromide rnonohydrate is present in the suspension in an amount of between 0.008 and 0.4 wt%; (b) a propellant gas comprising TG227ea, wherein the propellant gas is present in the suspension in an amount of at least 85 wt%; and (c) a surface-active substance comprising a polyvinylpyrrolidone, wherein the surface-active substance is present in the suspension in an amount of between 0.005 and 5 wt%. The suspension of the invention may be used for administration to a patient by nasal inhalation in treatment of a disease wherein the tiotropium bromide monohydrate confers a therapeutic benefit. |
