abstract |
Disclosed is a gas barrier laminate which is excellent in transparency while exhibiting high oxygen barrier properties without depending on humidity. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a gas barrier laminate. Specifically disclosed is a gas barrier laminate comprising a base and a layer arranged on the base. This layer is composed of a composition containing a hydrolysis-condensation product of a compound (L) containing a metal atom to which at least one group selected from halogen atoms and alkoxy groups is bonded, a neutralized product of a polymer containing a functional group selected from carboxyl group and carboxylic anhydride groups, and a compound (D). At least a part of -COO- group contained in the functional group is neutralized by a divalent or higher valent metal ion. The compound (L) includes at least one compound (A) wherein an organic group having at least one characteristic group selected from halogen atoms, mercapto group and hydroxyl group is further bonded to the metal atom. The compound (D) is such a compound that is bonded with both a group on the surface of the hydrolysis-condensation product and the -COO- group of the neutralized product of the polymer. |
