abstract |
The invention relates to a method for producing capsular polysaccharide of a type 5 or a type 8 Staphylococcus aureus strain comprising: (a) culturing said strain in a new M1 medium that increases the amount of polysaccharide produced by comparison with the standard Poutrel medium, (b) inactivating the culture produced, and (c) recovering the capsular polysaccharide from the medium. |
