Compositions and methods for preventing or inhibiting the growth of a hyperproliferative lesion in a subject that include a nucleic acid comprised in a solid or semiĀ¬ solid formation or in a transdermal or transcutaneous delivery device are disclosed. Also disclosed are compositions of a nucleic acid capable of preventing or inhibiting the growth of a hyperproliferative lesion in a subject that include an adhesive. Compositions of a nucleic acid capable of preventing or inhibiting the growth of a hyperproliferative lesion in a subject that include a nucleic acid uptake enhancer are also disclosed. Methods of preventing or inhibiting the growth of a hyperproliferative lesion in a subject that involve these therapeutic compositions and devices are also disclosed. |
