Proton exchange fuel cell |
abstract |
A proton exchange membrane fuel cell (100) comprises at least one membrane-electrode assembly including an electrolyte membrane (102) based on a fluorine free polymer grafted with side chains containing proton conductive functional groups, and interposed between an anode (101) and a cathode (103), the anode (101) including a catalytic layer comprising a catalyst and a fluorinated ionomer. The catalytic layer has a fluorine/catalyst ratio that increases in a direction from the electrolyte membrane (102) to an outer surface of the anode (101). |
