abstract | This composition for treating the surface of a glass, in particular a flat glass or hollow glass, or a glass in the form of fibers, is capable of being applied in a thin layer to said glass. It includes, in aqueous medium, the following constituents (A) and (B): (A) at least one compound having at least one function f (A); and (B) at least one compound comprising at least one function f (B) that can react with the function (s) f (A) constituent (A) within the thin layer applied to the glass in order to transforming it by polycondensation and / or polymerization into a layer solid, at least one of the compounds falling within the definition of (A) and (B) having at least one RO function attached to a silicon atom, R representing an alkyl residue, and at least a part of the compounds comprising at least one RO- function attached to a silicon atom that can be under a hydrolyzed form resulting from prehydrolysis or spontaneous hydrolysis occurring during contact of the compound (s) with the aqueous medium. |
