As the results of studies aiming at providing a means for real-time detection and assay of the amyloid protein aggregation process as a change in tension and/or elasticity with the use of a power sensor, a method of detecting an amyloid structural change in a protein with the use of a mechanochemical sensor is provided. Moreover, a method of searching for a substance having an activity of affecting an amyloid structural change by using the above method, and a method of screening a remedy or a diagnostic for an amyloid-related disease are provided. These methods seemingly contribute to the acquisition of a novel remedy/diagnostic for an amyloid disease. |
