The invention relates to novel foams obtained by polymerization in highly concentrated internal phase emulsions, which are formed of a polymer exclusively hydrocarbon-based, based on styrenic monomers, and which have a density of not less than 6 mg / cm3 and not more than 20 mg / cm3 as well as cells of average diameter at most equal to 20 microns.
