titleOfInvention | Screening method with the use of tbk1 knockout mouse |
abstract | It is intended to a method of screening a substance promoting the induction of an antiviral protein (for example, IFN-.beta.) against LPS stimulation or viral infection by using a TBK1 knockout mouse or a tissue or a cell originating in this knockout mouse. A promoter for a response to LPS stimulation or viral infection is screened by using a mouse, which has a defect in a TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) gene, either as a whole or a part thereof, on chromosome and lacks a function of expressing TBK1 expressed in the wild type, or a tissue or a cell originating in the mouse together with a test substance and a ligand recognized by TLR4 or a material containing the same, and measuring and evaluating the extent of inducing an antiviral protein such as IFN-.beta. against the ligand recognized by TLR4 or a material containing the same in the above-described mouse or a tissue or a cell originating in the mouse. |
