abstract The emulsion fuel according to the present invention is prepared by emulsifying about 55 to 90 % by weight of a mixture of heavy oil, 45 to 10 % by weight of water, and 0.3 to 0.8 % by weight of a catalyst. The catalyst comprises caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) and calcium dichloride in half and half. The calcium chloride can be partly substituted with calcium sulfate.
