abstract The invention relates to a method of manufacturing solid, hollow or open, especially those with sharp edges made of polystyrene comprising the following steps: Determination of polymers comprising polystyrene and optionally other additives and adjuvants, Plastification of components in an extruder to obtain a homogeneous mixture, Injection a pressurized gas via an injection port, mixing and pressurizing said homogeneous mixture and gas to complete dissolution of the gas for obtain a mixture in a single phase, progressive cooling of said mixture in a single phase in order to maintain the pressure necessary to solubilization of the gas, passing said mixture in a single phase mixture in a shaping tool to form a foam, passing the foam thus formed through an optionally controlled calibration system in temperature, motorized drawing of the calibrated foam.
