abstract | Adhesives comprising one or more tackifiers and an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer produced using either a single metallocene or dual metallocene catalyst system were formulated, and have adhesive characteristics over a broad temperature range. The inventive hot melt adhesive compositions (~HMAs~) have properties comparable to those of commercially available, three component HMAs comprising ethylene vinyl acetate polymers, tackifier and wax. HMA embodiments include those wherein the ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymers comprise ethylene and either 1-octene or propylene as copolymers. |
