abstract One or more databases for use in computer program application support and maintenance. An inventory of computer program applications ("application inventory") is arranged in a multilevel hierarchy having descending levels. Line of business level, application leve l and technical module level. A support and maintenance work authorization and authorized workgroup are set at the line of business level, and requests for work are set at the application level an d below. Automatically relates business functions to computer programs to determine performance of applications within business functions. The databases also include timesheets, each timesheet having time data recorded by a skilled person in a workgroup for work on a ticket. Computer system and methods utilizing the databases are also provided.
