Removing agent for heavy metal in water |
abstract |
A remover for heavy metals contained in water, comprising both a synthetic zeolite which is replaced with magnesium ions in an amount of at least 10 mo le % of the whole cation-exchange capacity and with magnesium and calcium ions in a total amount of at least 60 mole % thereof and activated carbon at a weigh t ratio of 2 : 98 to 50 : 50. This remover can remove heavy metal ions contain ed in water (particularly tap water) through adsorption to high extent and also remove residual chlorine and trihalomethane efficiently without losing the balance between calcium ion and magnesium ion, thus giving good and healthfu l water. |
