The bipolar electrochemical battery (1) of the invention comprises: a stack of at least two electrochemical cells (14) arranged in series; (d) a first electrically conductive lamination (5) comprising a first inner metal layer (7) and a first polymeric outer layer (8), said first outer layer (8) having at least one perforation (9) to expose the first inner metal layer (7), said first lamination (5) being in electrical contact with the outer face of the negative electrode (2); and (e) a second electrically conductive lamination (6) comprising a second inner metal layer (7a) and a second polymeric outer layer (8a), said second outer layer (7a) having at least one perforation (9a) to expose the second inner metal layer (7a), said second lamination (6) being in electrical contact with the outer face of the positive electrode (3); whereinthe first and second laminations (5 and 6) are sealed peripherally to each other to form an enclosure including electrodes (2,3), the separator (4) and the electrolyte. |
