abstract |
A feed for dairy cows containing 1.alpha.-hydroxylated vitamin D compounds. The vitamin D compounds cause improved utilization of dietary phosphorus and can eliminate the need for supplemental quantities of inorganic phosphorus in the cows'diet. In particular, milk production in dairy cows may be maintained in relatively high yield even though fed a low P diet. |
