abstract | The invention relates to a colloidal dispersion of rare earth phosphate and its preparation process.The dispersion is characterized in that it comprises anisotropic particles and deagglomerate or disagglomerate of phosphate of at least one rare earth and an anion of a monovalent, soluble acid in water and having a pKa of at least 2.5. It is prepared by a method in which a solution of a salt of at least one rare earth is mixed with phosphate ions by controlling the pH of the reaction medium to a value between 4 and 9 and in the presence of a monovalent, soluble acid in water and having a pKa of at least 2.5; we eventually proceed to a maturing of the mixture thus obtained; the precipitate is separated from the medium of reaction; the precipitate is dispersed in water. |
