titleOfInvention | Improved catalytic composition and procedure for the oligomerization of ethylene, particularly to produce 1-hexene |
abstract | A catalyst composition for the oligomerization of ethylene, particularly hexene-1, is obtained by mixing at least one carboxylate of chromium characterized in that it additionally contains free carboxylic acid in the proportion defined, with at least one aryloxy compound of an element M selected from the grou pe consisting of magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, with general formula M (RO) 2nXn wherein RO is an aryloxy radical containing from 6 to 80 carbon atoms, X is a halogen atom or a hydrocarbyl radical containing from 1 to 30 carbon atoms and n is an integer which can assume the values 0 and 1, and with at least one hydrocarbyl aluminum compound selected from the group e formed by the tris (hydrocarbyl) aluminum compounds, the chlorinated or brominated compounds of hydrocarbyl aluminum and the aluminoxanes. |
