| abstract |
A fiber-treating agent with which the surface strength of a rubber product, e.g., a rubber belt or tire, is enhanced; glass fibers made with the fiber-treating agent; and the rubber product containing the glass fibers. The fiber-treating agent comprises a dispersion containing a rubber latex and an epoxy resin as dispersed ingredients. Since an epoxy resin excellent not only in strength but in heat resistance and water resistance and a rubber latex having flexibility are used as the two dispersed ingredients in the dispersion, the fiber-treating agent can give glass fibers and rubber products having highly improved durability without undergoing quality decrease even in a severe environment. |
